Thread regarding Sabre Holdings layoffs

Questions during today's Town Hall

Could someone explain to me what kind of people ask the questions about org chart or female leaders ratio? Seriously? This is the most important thing now?

Cancel culture? Because of the criticism of irrelevant questions asked when the company is going through what might be the most difficult time in its history?
Better focus on work - not on politics. I don't believe we as a company have a problem with gender equality. But we sure have problem with technology and work efficiency.

Cancel culture will have a hard time taking off by currently employed, because of fear of losing what little time and work they have left. There are many former employees really mad at everybody, another thread on here is going beyond being personal and now spewing hate toward a person that probably did them wrong at some point. Because of the culture at Sabre all of us have been slighted at one time or another and many have been walked on and over many times but have been afraid to leave. A lot of good folks still at Sabre in the lower ranks that are just pawns in the big game of shuffling people out till the wheels finally fall off the wagon and Sabre loses even more customers (who survived the pandemic). I’m a former employee now after over 10 years as a Sr bus analyst and hope for the best for my friends who are still with Sabre who walk in fear of when the next axe chops will come and they survive another and another layoff.

Wrong - the point is that there were very important questions to be asked there. Like for instance, why there is one supposably engineering division, that is not even mentioned at all, and that one so happens is like the biggest dinosaur in the company.
Intead of that, we've learned yet another time, that we'll be working remotely like everyone in the industry right now, because mr SM cares so much about our health, and where we will be seated, because that's the biggest unknown for the little dudes with keyboards at the moment.
Entire talk was a butt-load of nonsense, I'm afraid.

Why are people coming to this site to complain about this stuff when you still have a job? If that's all you have to complain about then you're very lucky. JFC.

@bjt+15P7UEJG .."people who make excellent work and get above average results are promoted to the leadership positions" .................... This doesn't happen in Sabre

I was on the call and I know what I need to do for the next couple of weeks. Don't need the org chart for that.

And about the ratio:
I always thought that people who make excellent work and get above average results are promoted to the leadership positions. Doesn't matter what their gender is.
But maybe I was naive.

And there were more interesting, businesses-related questions in the queue that were not asked because of the time ended.

I assume people want to know about the org chart to figure out who they will be reporting to and the general reporting structure.

I would want to know about the female leaders ratio. There weren't a lot to begin with and I can only imagine how bad it will be after the layoffs.

If you're on that call, then you have a job and you're presumably a part of the company's future.
