Will there be more layoffs once TN and AS merged?

Anytime their is a reorg, the new leader will want realignment and their own mini leaders. then that process will flow down.
It wont happen tomorrow, usually takes from 3-18 months to those people to find valid reasons or a layoff timeslot
Sabre places a $$$ value on everyone.
If you are of a higher $$$ and produce good work compared to someone with a lower $$$ who give moderate quality, you will still be the one to go.
This is what we always hear during layoff - you are more costly!
they will find you if you won't work
I was laid off on June 8th. I agree with a previous post. Layoffs are a part of the Sabre culture.
Layoff is nothing new in Sabre culture.
It seems to be happening every quarter. Everyone has a fair opportunity of being let go. May be safe today but not tomorrow.
Meanwhile, hang on tight and start looking out for other opportunity.
Sabre has enough cash to have not any layoffs but doing so looks good to the shareholders. Of course there will be more layoffs just before the 3rd quarter financials. This will give the E levels time to pillage via retention bonuses and golden parachutes, then the hatchets from the "people team" will have clear instructions on how much to chop off.
It's 16 names that start with the letter "K".
That's the new layoff plan.
After those 16 "K" named people then we'll move on to laying off 16 "L" names.
Of course there will be more layoffs. The airline and hospitality bankruptcies are barely starting. Executives have not accounted for them already except for a few scenarios. Once the birds start falling around the travel industry, more cuts will be needed to keep pace with profit margins.
Come October, another wave of layoffs will come. For now, I agree that its safe to say that you got another 6 to 8 paychecks more.
to the post that said 16k names on the list, in a company with less than 10k employees I think thats curious. How many billions of times have I told you not to exagerate?
Yes. Around 16k names already on the list.
Short term - no. They've already laid off who they wanted to layoff upfront.
Long term - who knows. It is Sabre.
