Thread regarding Bass Pro Shops layoffs

Lay-off update from corporate?

Any update on layoffs that where going to happen around this time? I would figure if something where to happen, it would be after the holiday. Hearing managers talk about corporate HR visiting stores in my district this month. I’m on edge and worried.

The only reason we got those bonuses was because Johnny took ppp money. Had to show where it went. It's a joke that those in the warehouse got 1000. They didn't have to deal with the covid straight on like the staff that worked in the store.

What store laid off managers? Our sales have absolutely plummeted this past week.

Layoffs were moved to end of the year instead of weeks after they hired them back.
Maybe that will change and business will be ok again, doubtful but look for it at the end of the year now
Bonuses were a one time thing based on how much you worked during the covid months Mar-June

3 leads have been laid off with no plans of filling them at my store last month but we are hiring 8 part time positions right now. Guessing some stores might be better off but others are having to make adjustments to employment.

What positions are getting their hours cut? There has not been one single conversation in my store about cutting hours and we’ve hired like 20 people

New hires are replacing people who aren’t able to come back to work because of age. Most of the new hires are barely getting paid above min wage at my store. Hard to brag about hiring new people when hours are still getting cut.

I don’t believe the idea that we’re low on stock because we’re not paying our bills. Our vendors would be hit just as hard as we were with everything closed down. They would be doing anything they can to keep us buying from them. Rucker’s is a good example. They can’t keep up with our needs right now since their production halted for a while.

Rumors are that we have no stock because bills are being paid? From a vendor who was in our store.

That “bonus” barely makes up for the hours they have cut for full timers at my store. 1 week? It should be the whole month.

Bonuses? I heard we aren't getting reviews or raises this year? Part time won't get vacation because they didn't meet the allotted amount of hours they need.

Don't worry, "we're all in this together". And remember, even the corporate people had to take a reduction in salary.

Are bonuses every week or just 1 time only?

Bonuses, but for those who were furloughed (which is not by choice) didn’t get a bonus. That is c-ap and full a bunch non equal opportunities.
