Our core is already thin but there will not be multiple sales teams in a region. 1 sales manager per region. Some cores will not have VP's. Presidents will be doing the job of Sales VP's now. Production will further be consolidated with direct: rep and management level.

So how big is a region? Is it defined geographically or by number of sales reps within said area?
Mother Xerox should step out of the way and let Baby Bells continue to do what made them successful. But I do agree and know sales managers that do not belong in those roles and immediate change is !just needed.
Under consolidation it makes sense to me. Mother xerox was not going to let ‘Baby Bells’ run the show for long. WAY TOO MUCH redundancy. Those $$$ savings were too s-xy to pass up.
