Thread regarding SeaWorld Entertainment Inc. layoffs

What now?

At the end of this month, no more extra unemployment payout - and so many of us depended on that to survive. What do we do then if we are not called back (and it doesn't look likely that we will be called back any time soon?)

This situation is going from bad to worse with no resolution in sight.

Much worse, it appears all furloughed are now permanently laid off. I hope I’m wrong but I don’t think I am.

We need an attorney to represent us. They have paid severance to some during the pandemic. Why some and not others? Sounds like discrimination to me. Anyone know a good attorney?

I'm guessing that's their plan: end of extra benefits forces us to look for work. It then becomes voluntary re-employment and they don't have to worry about bringing us back or not.
