Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

Make things better...

Executives need to train walmart managers how to talk to an associate. And a good manager comes a long way with in the customer service and associates.

You lead by an example and no matter how busy a manager is you still have to make time for your customer and associates. I know this because I was a greeter, cam, dept manager, and and FPS. I have seen it all some manager care and some don't.

Even at the home office.

Bottom line is you have to kiss someone's ash or be someone's pet. I took the buy out at Wal-Mart cause I refused to treat my associates or temp employee like they are nothing. Respect comes a long way.

Don’t post identifiable info, that’s not allowed here, can be banned from posting if you try. C-suits are public figures, so you can name them, but you cannot name middle managers or employees.

Management is awful. Can’t even approach them. At my store they don’t even acknowledge certain peoples being. One CO even went around calling another associate an id–t. Isn’t that nice? He’s been at our store way to long and he doesn’t seem like he is going anywhere soon even though I though COs were going away.

I have worked for Walmart for over two years and I have seen my store manager a total of maybe 10 times. We have not had any sort of meeting for over a year and we have not seen him or heard from him since all the Covid stuff started. He comes in, goes into his office, goes to lunch and goes home. He talks to the ASM's by text and phone calls. Wish our manager would keep us up on what is going on or even told us we are doing a good job, expecially during this time.

I've been around for awhile, and I've worked for a few companies. WM, by far, has the worst type of management. They lead with fear and intimidation and mental abuse. I've been close enough to the inside track of that company to know these things for facts: Corporate pushes their managers and even has training tips on how best to scare their employees into performing best under these conditions.
Never was I so glad to get away from any business so much as I was from WM.
