Anyone on this site really know what is going on. Asm in what concept are fired?
They need to replace the people in corporate who are stagnant and not bringing the company up to where is should be. The old farts who ran it for the past 20 years and bled it dry are gone. Our customers still love us . It’s not over yet.

DMM's useless position!!!
DMM are worthless!!! It had to be a DMM that wrote about the one good one ! Bet it was her! Ask any Store Manager or anyone else in the store how much DMM’S help in the stores, if they have ever seen them help a customer, busy doing personal stuff when they should be working . Store Managers can’t ask them to do anything because DMM ‘S think they manage Store Managers . We need help in the stores on the sales floor, not someone sitting the the office talking on the phone to friends or spouse . All corporate needs to do is send out a questionnaire about who needs to go. Bet every store manager would say DMM.
Our DMM is actually amazing. Absolutely love her. She is the only person that listens to you and doesnt what she can to help. Yes she did spend some time in the office, but it was never personal stuff and she actually spends a lot of time on the floor helping customers, doing freight, ringing. She's the only person in district who is actually a good person and gives a sh– about employees.
The DMMs should be gone. Useless anyway all they really did was sit in the office most of day doing personal c-ap. Waste of payroll.
We started mapping the aisles last year according to the BBB portal guides. Now we are resetting the rooms for more spacious walkways. No more broken up rooms and pulling top stock off of the inside walls and finger walls, only top stock is on the outside walls and in the stock rooms.
The ASM's were in World Market this time.
But, there WILL be downsizing of BBB ASM's. Trust me on this. Going forward, whenever the desicisons are made , and when...they will replace with 40 hour Department Supervisors with keys.
Just look at the whole Back to College set up map. The store SM would work with DM, and district Merchandising Manager's to set.
But now the BTC map/plan is the same for all stores to follow. No changes in settings, it goes where and what to place. A part timer can set it !
And by the way the DMM are still on furlough. What does that tell you, another position eliminated??
Well. Do some research and look at the numbers. Bed bath has bought itself time. But will go eventually.
