Worked for Macy’s 21 years all positions last I switched to flex, but worked every week. 21 years and what did I get NOTHING, no severance package HR said try unemployment because this is permanent. I am 66 and only made 11dollars an hr. This better not be because of age, or they are gonna have allot of p-ss-d off employees. They let the good workers go. Their loss. They should turn it into an Amazon store.. Macy’s you lost allot of good people and I am sure they are not finished. Keep giving all the top raises who do absolutely nothing. Too many Wanta be managers walking around the store just talking on their phones.. Too all my fellow x Macy employees God Bless you all and good luck.. we don’t need to be treated as disposable employees!!!

Problem is they lie by omission and bury the details.
Hahaha I've been there long enough to remember when they launched MSP and they sold it to us that we'd be able to pick up so many shifts that we'd get health insurance if we averaged ft hours for two quarters 😂😂 among other lies.
I actually only have a job bc of the hire/service date technicality–bc of my service date, I had more seniority than someone who had been there 27 years to my 7. They got the layoff (I was sad when I found out it wasn't me). But they retired anyway so it didn't even matter.
Long story short, macys lies by leaving stuff out CONSTANTLY. that's the MO. LET the younger generation learn from us.
When you get into/out of flex they spell this out for you. You lose everything. It's f—ed up but you willingly sign up for it. I started flex and worked hard to get out of it because I wasn't accruing any benefit at all except 401k. Don't get into flex if you actually want something out of them!
