They have paid salaried and hourly employees severance since the pandemic. Why them and not those still furloughed? We need a legal firm to represent us!!! Sounds like they paid severance to favorites. Sounds like discrimination to me. They also instructed those given severance they weren't allowed to discuss it. Anyone know a good firm handling employment law?

Morgan and Morgan!
You people amaze me. I post a fact about businesses typically requiring to sign NDAs when they get a severance package and it gets (so far) 5 down votes.

Don't listen to SR's stooges.
Severance is not required by law......but if it WAS promised (in a employee handbook) or can be proven that a company has provided severance in the past (multiple times), I agree with the lawyers.
SR is only dragging this thing out in hopes the furloughed will have to find another job and release S___W from their promise.
Maybe Toys R Us was smart enough NOT to promise their ambassadors a severance.
Not all cases are the same.
Anyone who gets severance agrees to not discuss it. It's literally something that every company does. Open your eyes behind your hate of SEAS.
Good luck but you’re not going to get it, this is a tale as old as time. Toys R Us and Sears employees tried to fight that battle of trying to get severance.
SW is kicking the can down the road for bankruptcy until after summer. Pay creditors and lien holders first, then restructure as a “new company.” If you’re on furlough, start looking elsewhere before you’re unemployment runs out.
please lets us know the name of the attorney so we can go to and try
Just had a meeting with an attorney. The mediation form they made us all sign is null sitting furlough. We can go directly to the attorney. The office said they will fight for all of us. We have a good case. I plan to move forward. all we want is our jobs or severance.
