5 years ago I listed Monte Carlo as a place for me to work, got a call from my sponsor asking if I would go to KZK instead. Said yes, rotated 3+ years, got my millions and grew my 401k. Strategy worked!!!
I have worked here for 17 years. I have never had an approved go 400 except for the ROM and now. It’s all BS.
There is a way around the GO-400s. (And do you still have to recapture all in a word doc too because it is easier for LT to keep reusing sh*t from past decades than actually integrate information streams? ) The solution: leave. You will never, ever regret leaving this company in its present form and its current leadership. In past reorgs, the music stopped playing and we lost human energy that supposedly powers CVX. This time, the music is stopping for those caught in the reorg and the industry as a whole. Current leadership is fighting tooth -n- nail to protect the status quo of their compensation structure & longevity - all the while under the guise of " transformational " and creating shareholder value. All the BS you see and hear about transformation etc is nothing new. These are decades-old ideas re-packaged in way that makes it easy for the C-suite and LT to perpetuate the good ol boy system.
Any pdr or sponsor will tell you (or not tell you) that they do pre planning and pre “selections” before the event even happens. they have to no,way can go through all those jobs and people in one day. begs the question why even have a selection event if everythng is pretty much decided already huh?.

Why does the GO4002 have us list name and birth year of dependents? What does that even have to do with ones qualifications?

The OP is correct. You’ve surely have been around long enough to know how it works at Chevron. Everything else is window dressing.
