Wal-Mart is systematically getting rid of black managers especially in the south! Women are also a target and if black and female forget it! Just like Target the majority of blacks are under paid hourly employees. In 2018 in Ins southern district 9 Comanager’s we let go due to so called restructuring. 2 whites (male and female) 9 blacks (2 males & 5 females), everyone over 40 except one, but she happened to be black. That’s just one district and it is systematic racism and ageism! I really hate that companies have resorted back to these tactics, but doubt the really ever went away. Just swept under the carpet until it was safe to show their true colors. Wal-Mart is not a great place to work and they are not the only ones doing this.

Blacks want promotions and opportunities just because they're black. Oftentimes they get promoted in WM for this reason only because they are black. Doesn't mean they are qualified.
Wal-Mart was already the most diverse place I'd ever worked, and unlike some places, seemed to be able to actually promote good POC most of the time. Still, lots of talk about doing even more, so much so that as a white male I wonder if getting promoted will be harder for me in the future.
If anything, the opposite is happening. If non Caucasian folks are qualified for positions hire them. But don't just promote or hire to fill a quota. Fellow Caucasian coworkers of mine didn't like it when I said this.

That is total B.S.!! Your pay, my pay and everyone else who is employed by Walmart is based on your job code. Open your eyes and you will find that the group that is the most discriminated against is the white male!!! If you were terminated I would think it was because of substandard performance.
It's more of long term being let go and promoting inexperience.
