I'd place my bet on Alexandria, which is the only store remaining in an otherwise-closed mall.
And that takes us down to at most 70, and possibly as few as 63, non-liquidating Sears stores.
The uncertainty has to do with the status of 6 small-format stores (Home & Life, Appliance & Mattress), as well as the full-line store in Union Gap, Washington. We don't know if these will reopen or are being silently and permanently closed.
Pity but not a shock. Thanks for the information and the link.
Thanks, Ron. We can always count on you to keep tabs on the hourly update.
At this point, I think that the three remaining Kmart's from this list include Big Bear Lake, CA, Bayamon, PR, and Mayaguez, PR. The four Sears locations which are still unclear in terms of which may close include Salinas, CA, Alexandria, VA, Carolina, PR, and Caguas, PR. I am thinking that two of those four Sears locations will complete the 12 of 17 stores in this Seritage round. Does anyone have any leads on which stores the last two will be?
