I love the hotshot who keeps referring to everyone as “jealous losers” and “paid trolls” but has yet to give one example of “how it’s never been a more awesome time to work at GM”! Hey hotshot - keep sipping that special Kool Aid blend that Mary keeps making for ya!
CEOs c-apping in her panties as we speak.
GM so pathetic that they have all these paid trolls going after them. Nice try!
Really pathetic how GM is now. GM engineered fighter aircraft like the Wildcat, the first artificial heart and the original Moon Rover. Claim to fame now is promoting “social justice” and an imaginary fleet of electric cars.
Also GM and it’s subsidiary Cruise has been throwing billions of dollars at fully autonomous driving but has been a failure to date relative to its Waymo competitor. Waymo has already demonstrated it can drive without a safety driver and GM/Cruise does not even have a target date for that goal. Sure, GM built the dedicated Origin autonomous vehicle but the government won’t permit them to mass produce it. The Origin is a ride shared vehicle— not something that people would feel safe using in these times, particularly when there is no attendant ever present. Also their target to run a taxi service in CY19 never materialized. All in all, a lot of money has been spent and they still haven’t even proven the concept will work. Barra does not have the skills to lead such a massive technological project and the Cruise team is a startup full of naive employees without real world experience. If GM couldn’t make a success of Cadillac, GM Europe, or electric vehicles over the last 10 years, why would anyone believe they could be successful with autonomous vehicles?
omg so many jealous losers, writing big posts about how gm has failed meanwhile one of the best companies in America. It has never been a better time to work for GM!
What a great list! Bravo. I will add V6 timing chains, 4 cylinder oil s—ers, the “Chevy shake” pickups, Cracking pistons on new 4 cylinder engines, half baked new cars that take a couple of model years of changes to become competitive, “real people not actors” incessant ads, awful, never competitive minivans, endless pointless meetings, putting social missions above quality products, huge wastes of money on pet projects by executives, etc, etc, GMS
Sooooo many jealous haters! Jealous of all of the GM success stories over the past 40 years. Here are some of a few - - dissolving Fisher Body, CPC-BOC, EDS, Hughes, MCD-MidLux-CLCD, neglecting GM Locomotive, neglecting Allison Diesel Engines, Saturn, Hummer, Covisint was going to revolutionize purchasing, Ignacio Lopez Blue Macaw, Plan to Win, GM EV1, 2002 GM Autonomy (Tesla Model S before Tesla), GM Fiat JV (GM paid Fiat 2 billion to dissolve it), Pontiac Aztec Buick Rendezvous (M Ruess Chief Eng), Opel in the red for 15 years with GM but in the black 1 year after sold to PSA, SAAB (GM Midas touch), Subaru (they split before GM could do their Midas touch), GM Toyota NUMMI (transformed GM?), Chevy Trailblazer GMC Envoy thrown away (was proper competitor to Jeep Grand Cherokee), Chevy Avalanche Cadillac Escalade EXT (thrown away), Cadillac ELR, Cadillac BLS (was going to take Europe by storm), Cadillac Catera (was going to be 3 series fighter), Cadillac ATS (was going to be ultimate 3 series fighter), Cadillac Cimarron (about size of 3 series), Cadillac CTSV coupe and wagon (throw away), GMC Quadrasteer (thrown away), Cadillac return to LeMans, Buick GNX (thrown away), Impala SS (thrown away), IROC-Z (thrown away), Vehicle Line Executives, Brand Managers, Vehicle Brand Managers (who’s on first?), GM had the minivan a decade before Chrysler but never went to production, 2008 bankruptcy (fly to DC on GM jet to ask for $), Maven, Cruise, Dan Akerman’s grand IT plan for GM, Chevy entry to Europe (Opel said Hey what about me?) and Touring Car and paid Manchester United big big $ - can’t list anymore the success is too overwhelming!
Yep, we are all jealous. The competition wants GM secrets on how to consistently lose market share every year.
Meanwhile over at Global propulsion systems in Pontiac, the entire parking lot is full of vehicles that GM can not sell.
Maybe with all the social distancing they should split people back up from Warren and move them back to that once great place in Pontiac? GM wastes so much money that it's criminal. Open A and B buildings again, or maybe the plan is to keep everyone working from home at a reduced salary for as long as they can get away with it.
Oh yeah! GM is doing awesome! Mercedes and BMW are losing huge sales around the globe with all the Cadillacs that GM can’t make enough of! Ford and Ram have no idea how to slow down the massive sales of the Chevy Silverado! All Elon Musk talks about is how Tesla can’t keep up with the huge sales of the Chevy Volt and the GM EV1! And Holden loves that GM has finally come to their senses and shut them down after making such flops as the Commodore, Camaro and GTO!
Anyone actually working at GM knows how well we are doing. Funny to see all these jealous losers here.
Gm is burning thru cash right now. Wall Street sees it.
Well known fact that Shanghai City Government owns a large share of China GM.
M&M (Mary and Mark) have neglected the golden goose of GM engines and GM trucks. They have also no understanding of what customers want in cars (why on Earth make the Camaro off of the ATS platform that has no soul of a muscle car Australia Zeta platform for the original Camaro was excellent platform). M&M now have sour grapes and think forgetting vehicles and turning to social justice and environment will be the answer.
Zero^3.
