Thread regarding Bed Bath & Beyond layoffs

ASM's changes are coming . It's just a matter of time.

I've heard about stores getting rid of ASMs and just replacing them with supervisors. And they also gotten rid of supervisors and just replaced them with part time key holders. Won't be long before the stores are just part timers and either a SM and 1 ASM .

The most recent, update handbook came out in 2017 and doesn't even mention vacation time. You can find it on portal. While there, you can also check out the 2018 document about vacation time that states the most vacation time someone can get is 4 weeks after the 15th year.

BBB is so blessed to have so many highly capable would-be entrepreneurs who know: how best to manage a billion dollar retailer, the specifics of everyone's position and how they should do it, and the "hidden benefits program" they have tried so hard to keep secret.

I heard that members of this secret sect got 20% increases in May and were all moved up to 12 weeks of vacation.

Old handbook means nothing. There are new ones for a reason. It's in the name. Also, not everyone works in a store with the most amazing managers. Most of us work with complete pieces of sh–, who treat you like the scum of the earth even though you bust your a– day in and day out while they either sit in the office all day yelling at you over the walkie or they run around the store acting like they're doing something but all they're doing is barking orders and telling you to do sh– you've done every day for 10 years.

One more thing about the handbook and vacation ,people that only work day and people that don’t work Sundays it was all grandfathered in I’m talking about the old handbook dummy . Like I said I know a hell of a lot more about this company did you do.

Is this thread still about BED BATH & BEYOND? You all are clueless. You are awarded 4 weeks of vacation in the January following your 15th anniversary. That’s it. You never get anymore. 4 weeks is the max. Read a handbook. Oh, wait. You probably don’t have yours. Better go ask your OPS manager. They probably won’t have time because they are MANAGING your dumb a$$ trying to get you to do some actual work.

I’m still not done not to mention this company is screaming about wanting innovative changing with the times and all this c-ap. So keeping management on that has been with the company for over 20 years how is that change it’s not. And I love the fact when new positions in the store come up they do not post it they do not tell anybody about it they pick one of their favorites and the next thing you know oh you got a promotion we didn’t even know there was a new position . We have a full-time receiver at my store that we did not need when other people asked for that job and wanted full-time hours they said that’s not possible but they sure enough ended up giving it to the little white boy that doesn’t know what the he is doing . This is why this company is not going to last they treat people like c-ap ‼️

I have a whole lot more to say about this subject take this scenario I’m watching the floor helping customers and managers are screaming for back up you go up front and instead of them helping now they’re leaning on the counter watching you while people are stealing . My comment to them you’re pulling everybody from the floor people are stealing and there are some people that actually need help and all they do is just stand there this is 100% true . They are overpaid do nothing like I said but bark orders they need to go ‼️

They need to visit the stores with no advance notice. Drop in unexpectedly and see how the stores
really function. Most of the time the managers will be sitting in the office for hours and the peions will be doing all the work

I’m glad the person that said no one has six week vacation you don’t know what you’re talking about yes they do if you’ve been with the company over 20 years how many do you think they have I know for a fact yes they do so you’re not as smart as you think you are . It doesn’t matter anyway they’re still overpaid and they do nothing I have worked for this company going on over 13 years I know quite a bit about them they’re full of c-ap how about that . And yes I hope the whole company goes under it would give me such pleasure 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍

Good because they are over paid for doing nothing except sitting around barking orders it’s the way to go if they really want to save the company . Some of these managers have 6 to 12 weeks vacation not to mention all the benefits yes time for them to go !!!!
