Thread regarding Macy's Inc. layoffs

For those who have lost their jobs, YOU WILL GET THROUGH THIS and most likely end up in a better place(mentally) at your next adventure in employment. Please be patient and reach out to a doctor if you're emotionally stressed. For those of us that will be going forward, work is going to triple in load for everyone. Sounds like a good time to look for anther job but be careful what you choose. Most states have certain guidelines on who qualifies for Unemployment compensation benefits in event where you lost your job or furloughed. In most cases you'll need a certain amount of time or hours working for that employer to be eligible for these benefits. Seeing that a 2nd Wave of Covid-19 can shut states down again be wise and do your research prior if you're planning to leave.
