AST captain

Any other ASTS offered the AST captain position? My store manager said that this was what available to me if I wanted to stay with company. Another salaried manager was given the MBA position . At first I thought that the MBA position was alot more to it than just ASTS duties but I read the job description and it is entirely samiliar. My store manager said I would still be responsible for onboarding and cash office responsibilities but that's in the job description for the MBA.

I was offered a “Customer Experience Captain” position. While a salary sales manager was offered the MBA... my store manager says I am in charge of AST duties as well as AYS. And my hours will be coming out of AYS... makes no sense.. I was the ASTS, I learned everything on my own and now I have to teach a flighty sales manager how to do my job... I’m sick to my stomach!

Never heard any mention of an AST captain but as previously said, depends on the store. Our MBA is going to have an AYS captain. Maybe because your mba knows AYS already, you will be that person’s captain for the AST duties/team.

that is what i assume. bigger stores would have a captain if there is more than a certain of ast colleagues. the captains will have to be the person who will get more responsibility i bet.
will ast now have to go ring in AYS?

Maybe because you are in a bigger store there is an AST captain position? I was and ASTS and was offered a selling and service manager position while a salaried exec was offered the MBA. Bottom line is there was really no process besides a fake “talent assessment”. The store managers did what they wanted at the end of day. Take the severance and run.

Did you get a pay rate quoted and the number of hours you will get each week ? They are cutting your pay and benefits to become an hourly associate.

an AST captain?? I never heard of that. Was anybody else offered this?
i think the MBA does have many of the old ASTS responsibilities, but there is more to the job and more. you know they will a– more to the position.
