Has any of you alls titles changed? Pricing, lead, signing lead, merchandising lead, Visual...? Or have you been laid off?

I’m currently the sign team lead. I asked my MTM if I would still be a lead come July 1 and she said she didn’t know I would have to wait and see. Has anyone heard anything about sign leads? Thanks in advance
I'm sorry for these comments to the former leads, now Merchandising Captains. I dont mean to offend any of you. But, when the stores start doing major floor moves its going to be a disaster. Visual Managers set the tone and laid out the floors in regards to gridding, wall scaping, and had the power and respect from the Store Managers to do so. In some stores, where the VM became the OVM they are lucky to have retained that talent. But for the other stores, that let their VM go because of budgetary and payroll reasons, I wish you all good luck. You will soon find out why we work so hard and had the eye to make a store look and flow so seamlessly for the customer. Its going to be a mess for most stores. For those of you that were happy to have kept your "lead" salary, you will want more after you figure out the expectations they are going to place on you. It will be interesting to walk into the stores in a couple of months.
Fulfillment Lead => Fulfillment Captain. No pay cut.
This could be just my store, though. I forced management to make up an in-name-only title for me a couple years ago because I was RUNNING Fulfillment as just a regular FT colleague. The fake title they came up with was "Fulfillment Captain." Coincidence?
I “BELIEVE “ the “MAGIC” for the holidays has left all the buildings !
RTW lead and was told the title of lead goes away. I really don’t care about the title. I am keeping my same salary and full 40 hours and all my PTO. The word lead means nothing to me. I will continue to do the same job as always.
Way to speak the truth and say it loud and proud!!! I feel the same way! Visual is what set this company apart from the other retailers. They will soon find out when they need to do a floor move!
Merchandise lead here, lost title but my pay stayed the same. I'm kind of in different at the moment on how I feel about doing the same work but not having the title anymore. But I guess since my pay is a leads pay, I'm above the pay cap but got to keep it.
My district combined with another in February for our new division. I don’t know about that half because we never even met any of them but no VM’s in my old district were offered the OVM position. And no one is staying in at least the top 5 doors. Not sure about the smaller outlying ones but...it’s going to be a total cluster
It's interesting that some visual managers were offered Captain jobs while others were given OVM and still others were laid off entirely. I can't even imagine what an OVM with no visual experience is going to be like leading a visual team.
There is gonna be such chaos cause every story is different.
My staff was kept as well, and she accepted. I was told she would be brought back when I was offered the captain position...because I asked. So apparently we would have been one staff, one captain. But we’d have both reported to the store manager. But I don’t know if it’s the same across the board. And I don’t know if they offered the captain job to someone else after I said no thanks. Good luck to you...and to everyone 😊
To the visual manager below –
If you were offered Visual Captain, then what happened to your staff? Was she still employed? Or was she let go?
I’m a pricing lead ...they made me a pricing captain... same duties same pay
My store hasn’t said anything about the support team titles. But we were told our schedules might change to help the store needs.
Merch. Lead here. They took title away and said to just keep on doing the same thing as if i were a lead.. but without title. 😴 So im just a regular support associate now.
I was offered the visual captain position (currently a visual manager with 1 staff). Pay cut plus can’t guarantee 40 hours plus no longer an executive so some loss in benefits, plus not only visual duties. No thanks...I took the package. This company is going to run itself into the ground and I’m sad but relieved. I’m hearing a lot of other VM’s are doing the same. I think they underestimated us and thought we’d all be so desperate for a job that we’d take a demotion. But we know our value and that ain’t it. Bye Macy’s 👋🏼👋🏼👋🏼👋🏼👋🏼
