My Position as ASTS was eliminated. My VPSM is shady as hell. Other ASTS in my area given the opportunity to become MBA. I have been with Macys for 25+ years, worked every position imaginable, and she couldn't even give me a floor position?! It is what happens when you aren't her favorite. She gave the MBA position to a Sales Manager. Should have left when she came to our store and proved she was shady. Many people left the store, I should have followed suit. This Macy's is not the corporation I grew up in, or remember. She did me a favor, because this is not how I want to work. Jeff Gannett if you read these posts, know that you have Store Managers who do not represent Macys in the way you hope they will. Some are just awful, human beings, with no regards to humanity. There are no trainings to fix that. Good Luck to all of you, who are fortunate to work for someone with compassion and care.

No. You do NOT have to be a Sales Manager first to be chosen for the MBA job.

I know you are strong because you have been there 25+ years. Any someone with your grit and strength could endure that so empower yourself and ask questions at the agencies in place to help workers. Is it not true that asts couldn’t get the mba unless they were sales managers first?
I tried to get a reason, but she read her script and faned concern ...but it was Bs. I agree that we should expose them, all of them, but I have been the only one to use her voice, and she finally got over on me...I was the only executive not offered any type of job....25+ years...why couldnt she just have left me on furlough...
Sounds like most SMS. All they care about is themselves and the colleagues that kiss their asses.
