I got laid off But giving me a severance package Not sure what that package is. But they said it’s cause of biz changes ie I make too much a hour as a associate. Plus they just want low level workers in that stores. What gets me is they brought back one of thee laziest stock people I have ever seen at Macy’s. Yet people who out perform their whole dept get cut. So long sh– hole ! Have fun with your d—beat workers

your ending was PERFECTION! I got laid off from Macy's too and they told me it was because they are no longer using the fitting rooms, so I wouldn't have any work to do. Fair enough, but I saw plenty of fitting room associates that I worked with that got recalled back with different roles, so what the f—??
Totally agree with your ending! I busted my a– for these f—ing losers and I don't regret working in Macy's, but good f—ing riddance! I'll be moving on doing something FAR more successful while the other colleagues still bust their asses in a d—beat dying company that won't last!

Only at Macy's would someone making $20/ hr be called a "high paid associate".
“The best high pay, low stress job in retail.” (?) Decommissioned means they probably took a cut in pay and in addition took on selling responsibilities in other departments. Management has a growth pattern. Managers have a different skill set than sales, (in any industry!). If you a low level manager expressing shame on your performers, be reminded when your growth is stunted by your non performing department😥
The gravy train is over for those high paid associates. I knew of one who was bought out after the store decommissioned. They made more than most managers. The best high pay, low stress job you could have. That's over now. Everything is changing.

So sorry!!! That's the reason the company is in such a poor state. Low level, lazy and unprofessional people. The company sees the $$$ signs not quality work with the highest of expectations. They got the perfect chance to get rid of people. All the best to you.
