Thank You Visits

So I've heard that the corporate higher ups are doing a "thank you" visit tour of certain stores. They will only be in the store for a short period of time just to tell everyone "thank you". Any thoughts on this? Sounds wasteful to me when the company is in this much trouble.

These visits are not thank you at all!!! Just worked a week and a half straight from 7-7 every day sometimes longer to prep for a visit with minimal help and positions being cut. Was told we need to improve certain things or else and they would be back in a few weeks. Talk about making a stressful situation worse!

How did your visits go? Hopefully a positive message and grateful to see all?

And we still have to prep the store wth minimal staff, almost like a regular visit.

Dietary requirements? You should feed them food they are allergic too, make them swell up like a Macy’s thanksgiving day parade float.

My favorite part of those visits was always the "dietary requirements" section of the memo outlining what each executive could and could not eat. Further, the main suggestion for light refreshment that followed was usually written like "sweet and salty" as a recommendation.

It is true, you can't please everybody, I guess??

Are you sure it’s a “thank you” visit and not a “f— you” visit?
