Go check out the post Sales Managers on furlough for an example of the blatant racism. And sadly the poster is probably a sales manager. And clearly with so much focus on bias training that began a year or two ago, there is a problem. So the poster who thinks there is definitely not a bias problem, obviously is part of the problem.

" ... please have a seat" means "Shut up." Instead of trying to silence someone with whom you disagree, why not give some substantive examples of the "TONS" of unconscious bias you are referring to.
Macy’s has a TON of unconscious bias! So whomever is speaking on behalf of those of us who have experienced it for years, please have a seat and only speak on things you are familiar with.
To answer your question. Macy's does not. I've never seen a company bend over backwards for minorities (and woman) more than Macy's does. The entire racial thing has been blown WAY out of proportion. But the "narrative" says otherwise. It's actually a hoax.
Does the Macy's organization really have so much embedded racism to justify the intense intra-company emphasis on bias training, etc., to the total exclusion of any information in a keenly anticipated weekly update addressing the furlough of tens of thousands of colleagues?
Employees can give their heart and soul to the job until there is no more need for their service. So cold and callous.
I am a flex 73 year old employee and was called back and explained I was afraid for my health,
Before the furlough I closed because I keep my gg in the day. I asked how did they get to me before calling back the full and PT employees? So on the 2nd call if I have 3 options, return to work, resign or take a medical leave. I guess if I do none of these they will terminate me and this means I will have to appeal my unemployment which I am getting now. I just want it to be safer, not sure how I can work in a mask 8 hrs because that is the only available shift.
They also forget many employees are customers and platinum loyalty. Never buying a single thing from Macy's again.
A message was just posted, no info on furloughs. While the racial disparity going on in this country is at the top of our minds, so too is the fact that we are sitting ducks waiting, hoping & praying to be called back to work sooner rather than later. This is no way to treat loyal, honest, hard working employees, many of whom have been with the company for many years. Praying for answers soon.🙏

That is literally 5 weeks now with no mention of furloughed employees well next week alot of people are going to be with out health insurance at a time when they really need it

Still no update and no message saying that the update will be later this week... I'm so freaking sick of Macy's I swear they treat us employees like sh– I just wanna know if I'll have health care , or hear something not hearing anything for 3 months is rediculous.
Last week it went up at about 6 cst which is in 15 mins
No update as of 6:45PM EST. Has any Tuesday update ever gone out later than this?
Yes....i am going full crazy here, im in corporate and this waiting is absolutely awful
