Why did we bring DS back into the departments? Our ASM's do perfectly fine. Department Supervisors are lazy as hell overpaid POS. They do nothing but point and delegate. Anybody can do that. Or they spend all day counting inventory useless task. What gives?

Our DS works incredibly hard and without LNS has to do that job as well. Also deal with temp summer people whose work ethic indicates their are not there for long haul or reference. And I can’t believe how many time he’s pulled in last minute for new overnight work. Our store is short ASMs that work closing, so he’s also pulled in for mgmt tasks and to help run departments that have no one in evenings. Some evenings I don’t I barely see him and can go a week or so not even working with him. I’d never want his job as the pay can’t be that much more, and I know he’s absolutely miserable, but a good soldier and does everything requested of him.
Tell your "worthless" DS that you want to take on his/her responsibilities for a week. After the the third day, when you're crying in the break room about how hard you have to work and what you are held responsible for, remember this stupid f*cking post you made. You half wits that do absolutely nothing but complain could really use a dose of reality.
There is not leadership at store level
Department supervisors in my store have one of the hardest jobs as they straddle management and workerbee duties and often do both simultaneously.
Y'all must be working for a different company, all our DSs are in their departments every day helping. Unless there is no SM or ASM in the building and they have to play MOD.

Do like I do keep calling code 3 to department especially when corporate is there then keep calling ask or store manager for backup that gets them there asap
We have a guy from HD who was fired from there for going off on customers and employees. Our ASM is the dumb–s who hired him. Hes a pos and worthless. He is dead weight to the company as most department supervisors.

Yup! And to add to their worthlessness, our Department Supervisors don't have to wear vests so they don't have to help any customers! Bunch of useless pricks!!
