There seems to be a lot of news and rumors concerning executives and managers on this site, but does anyone have any info for selling associates still on furlough? I realize we are at the bottom on the totem pole, but SOME kind of update on where we stand would be very much appreciated. Either bring us back or lay us off - some of us have not heard a word from Macy’s since March! We realize our livelihoods aren’t as important as the higher-ups, but leaving us in limbo this long should be a crime.

I’m also JUST an associate and definitely feel like we don’t matter. If the job listings sent out weren’t insulting enough, the lack of precautions and being told specifically by my SM that I still have to sell to someone who said they have coronavirus, isn’t wearing a mask and won’t stay behind the plexiglass made it pretty clear that I don’t matter as much as a sale.
Why are there -3 reactions on the first comment? That's rude! All jobs matter. There wouldn't be corporate without stores and vice versa.
I'm in corporate on furlough so don't have details but based on what I've been reading/assuming, it will be this week. But maybe in Stores, they will do executives first (ie Sales Manager) and then your Sales Manager will contact you (by EOW or early next week, depending on when they are communicated). Not sure if Store Manager is going to call every single associate back.

We have homes, family, Bill's, alarm clocks and the everyday hustle. I hope were all good...with or without macys we will all be cared for in the end...have faith everyone and let's hold hands, x
Coming from someone that’s in corporate , all jobs matter! Yourlivelihoods are important.
I am currently furloughed so I don’t have any insider info but seems like Thursday is doom day.
