Thread regarding Noble Energy Inc. layoffs

Furloughed Employees

Has anyone heard anything about furloughed and part time employees. It is now past 45 days since the furlough started, thought that we would have heard something by now.

Furlough and part-time are extended for another 90 days effective July 6th. So it looks like October 6th is the new day....

It is my understanding that Noble execs hired Price Waterhouse to provide an analysis of Noble’s business, as well as, provide staffing requirements. This is ONLY what I have heard from several people who are still working at Noble.

The Price Waterhouse analysis/recommendations along with staffing requirements was completed and handed to Noble execs at the end of May. “Supposedly”, decisions will be made during the first part of June regarding which employees will be laid off and which employees will be allowed to return to work.

Best of luck to everyone...

Some employees were brought back this week. Encouraging sign.

If you’re in TX, you’re f—ed. Those assets won’t recover for years. CO will run on a shoestring well into next quarter.

Rather be laid off. There is nothing left to do. Not sure what direction the company is going.

Wow, what happened to us...From so many good assets we are left with huge debt...and oh yes the same management. Do they know for shame? Terrible middle management and top, too. Bunch of ex BP/ARCO arrogant managers with poor technical knowledge and poor business judgement, even worse people's skills. A lot of NBL's young managers who got promoted based on sticking into manager's as*x...without any knowledge or judgement....When will the new guy take it over? Hope he is good and will fix this mess...

It depends on how long the furlough lasts and whether you get your job back at the end of it or not.

I want to go the full time with
free health insurance unless severance is cut.

If they are going to lay me off, I wish they would just go ahead and tell me...
