Not sure about other countries, but any Canadian who was RA'd, do you know if 55+ age group was targetted, as through personal conversations, that's what it sounds like.

I'm over 40 only and was cut. It must either be because my functional manager decided to keep the people in the squad that is from the same country and trim the black sheep or my salary was above a certain number they used to filter in Excel... Definitely not because of what I know because I was the most experienced and knew the most on what we are doing now. They have no idea what they are doing and will only hit a solid wall once I am gone.
I know of at least maybe 7 IT in Ontario laid off on Mar.21 2020 that are definitely over 55+ perhaps more.
Yes, I know four from asset management over 55 who were cut free.
