Does anyone know if there is any paperwork that can be filled out by a doctor to except you from wearing a face mask? Are face shields allowed instead of a face mask? I was so miserable today at work. Over heated and getting sick from having mask on. It’s not even summer yet and I am roasting since Walmart can’t provide proper air conditioning. I see a lot of associates getting sick in the summer months.

ADA does not apply to a public health or natural disaster emergency. Think– suing because you can't use the bathroom at a store that was damaged in a hurricane.
You have to wear the mask or stay home. If you don’t wear the mask while you’re on the clock, they send you home. A doctor’s note saying you CANT wear a mask, means they send you home until you can wear it. It isn’t optional even though 90% of the customers DONT.
If you get an ADA from your doctor and take it to work you don't have to wear one and walmart cannot not violate the ADA (american disabilities act)
I think they are being denied because so many people are saying they can't wear them. I'm sure some are legit reasons but not all. Some folks are just trying to get out of wearing them.
I have bad anxiety too and have trouble breathing and feel nauseous sometimes, but I guess I'm stuck wearing it like everyone else.
It’s very hard I was denied by Sedgwick even though I have asthma and panic attacks they told me just to stay home till can wear a mask. They don’t care about us
They just tell you that you cant work until you can wear a mask.. that's what happen to a guy that I work with so know he doesn't know what to do. I fill sorry for him.
I have to wear the face shield. I can’t wear the mask due to anxiety and asthma. I bought a fan that hangs around my neck so it’s not as hot. The only thing that gets on my nerves is the glare
Theyll give you the plastic face shield helmet. Theres no going without something covering your face if you want to continue to work
Well since you can get it thru your eyes, you probably should work with a blindfold on as well.
You absolutely can be excused from the mask if you're doctor states it negatively effects your health due to a physical or mental condition. If you still wish to work, however, you would be required to wear the face shield. Doctor and ADA approval necessary.
I think they still require a mask with a face shield which to me is stupid.
Masks are a false sense of security. It’s to get shoppers back into the stores. Nothing is a 100% safe. Are they making people wear protective eye wear? The virus can be caught through your eyes.
I would ask your doctor for a letter stating that you cannot safely wear a mask. I am guessing they will move you in a position that not on the sales floor if at all possible. They will likely accommodate this as they would a person with disability, but I'm not a lawyer.
