From the 10 or so people that I know who recently got laid off from Marathon, every single one of them had been d–g tested in the previous 60 days leading up to the layoffs. Is this true for you guys as well?

Wasn’t for me. Last time I was d–g tested randomly was about 8yrs ago when I had a production supervisor job in the field.
Yes, they do it to those preemptively selected for layoff in an attempt to avoid paying severance.
I was only d–g tested once as pre-employment 3 years ago but when I was laid off I have not been requested or asked to take a d–g test.
So if they are doing it then I would think to avoid severance pay?
I smoke daily. When in the tower I’d even smoke at P-9. Everyone is smoking c-gare–es and I break out my one hitter. Never been tested or caught. Most here are alcoholics and drink and drive on the daily.
I worked at MOC for 13 years. Only 2 tests ever. Pre-employment and a random at about year 10.
That’s funny because some of my colleagues get “randomly” tested every few months...
I’ve been here 10 years and never been test. Well except for when I started.
Probably trying to find a way out of paying a severance.
Not true for me, but I’ve been blowing hella smoke since then.
