Time to completely put Salem out of its misery. Shut it all the way down. Time to feel the burn like the rest of us.

@3rjr+152G3K4P..... You're right, GE's BOD, CEO, and management (both current and past) have no responsibility for the companies state of affairs....NOT!
Salem has been closed. Last production employees were let go around January 20. No one works there now but some salDonearied people whose roles aren't clear.
GE will do The cuts Just below the threshold of the WARN notifications guidelines. Global GE cuts on the way I’m can’t wait for Salem and Schenectady to get walking papers. $1100 a week plus the weak union kicker to sit home. IF I get called back I will definitely not return this company is worthless just like our union! June is coming upon us fast.
Blame the virus and the politicians. That solely is the downfall for aviation. Atleast for their time being

Each state gives WARN notices for large number of employee layoffs. Check it out for your state.
I got my notice Monday. I was out on furlough for six weeks and HR just made it permanent. A few weeks before the furlough the VP of Supply Chain said he had great plans for our site. Maybe a year before that some Aviation bigwigs were on a "bus" tour like Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters and said everything was peaches and cream. They should have told me to plan and buy some new sneakers. You are going to need them while you hunt for a new job.
I got let go and never came back! Found A better more stable place to EARN money!
Small pockets without details yet in Gas Power. Heard today Aviation’s additional cut is next week.
Only 25% to 50% in Aviation. That's about it. Good news though. It's Opie Dokie marathon month on tv.
I feel let down. Does that count??
