Some of the bigger cities lost the least percentage from what I heard. Like 1 or 2 techs in some areas.

YOUNGSTOWN all furloughed but one service technician, claims it's a 3 month furlough, with hopes of calling back techs at that point

We should all know by now that the downhill path of the company is steepening. Use any furlough time to really go after a new job if you can. Granted the environment isn't the best, but folks should gave been at least keeping a pulse on the job market or making plans for when x hits bottom.

Sorry to say this but if you have been furloughed there's a pretty good chance some of you are never coming back, companies do this as a way to take you back only if they need you and an easier way to get rid of you. Xerox is in desperation mode now. I just cannot get over why they did not make this move back on April 1st.......God do they s—!!!!

Furlough half the technicians just as the country begins reopening, when requests for them will be at their highest in months. Is this the best idea they came up with? The remaining technicians will be stretched to the maximum capacity. Why not have furloughed them over the past few months when every customer was not open? Is that too sensible?

Anyone still thinks Xerox is on its way to becoming a powerhouse? Let me be brutal: we've be f@$#%d. Icahn failed and that means we're out of next gen products, have the worst support ever, and our competition is already ahead of us in many areas. Ya think we'll be a 'powerhouse' LOL.

Our best hope is that Icahn will give up and sell us to Fuji AND that they'll actually want us.

I'm already applying everywhere I can. It turns out, every single person I know who've left told me they felt liberated and got a far better job.

The sun does shine for everyone!

I was furloughed today. I was working for a XBS core company in Virginia. This should have been done over a month ago, not now. Business was dead 6 weeks ago, now VA is opened back up and business has picked up tremendously. I feel bad for the customers because response time for service calls will be on the average of 3-4 days now not 4 -6 hours.

Xerox in the UK furloughed 80% of service Technitian a couple of weeks about...most offices are closed so not that many service calls and Xerox revenue has been hit hard by reduced print volume and non existent sales due to Covid19 virus shutdown. The good news is that the UK government pays 80% of salaries and Xerox is making up the 20% difference....fortunately because UK has a national healthcare system health insurance is a non issue

@vlz

The money from Fuji Xerox has already been invested by Xerox back into the company such as executive compensation, stock buy-backs, dividends, and the failed attempt to buy HP. You know, things that will turn Xerox into a tech powerhouse any day now...
