Just wanted a general take on how many people think we're going to open back up on May 2nd, how many people think most furloughed people will be let go? What do you guys think is going to happen?

I can’t see every furloughed associate wanting to go back- plenty of retailers have been hiring.
I’m fully aware of the difference between furlough and lay-off. You can still be let go even if you’re furloughed. I can’t seriously see bbb taking back every furloughed employee.
It's important to note that these are different from layoffs. Furloughs are meant to be temporary — employees are expected to return to work full time when the organization is ready — whereas layoffs are permanent.
I mean for us here in Virginia we have a stay at home order until June 10th so I feel like our stores won’t be open until then... But even then I feel like they’ll operate at reduced hours.

I'm an asm50 operations of 7 years and I'll be shocked if they take me back. Just hope they let me go immediately so I can continue unemployment till I find job.
I'm full time with over 20 years with the company and I would be shocked if they take me back.

I meant to say NYS CANT open non essential businesses until after May 15th unless its extended again
It depends on your states rules NYS is closed by the governor now til May 15th for non essential businesses so NYS can open up on the 3rd and if we get let go at any point you just collect unemployment until u find a new job
