Have any furloughed employees on the 75% pay plan filed for unemployment to get the $600 Federal weekly benefit and the state benefits? I’ve contemplated filing for a few weeks now because my state would allow me to file but GM’s plan says they will take the amount of unemployment I receive from what they pay me so I’m not sure it’s even worth it. Can they even do that? If you’ve filed, have they done that?

So glad GM let me go when they did. Not only did I make 25%-30% more at my new place of employment on top of premium benefits, I'm making bank with all of this nonsense as well.
Furloughed every other week. Paid one week, max unemployment of $962 the other.
I do like these paid vacations. We can keep it up as long as they need to. You should file, if not just for the federal portion.
Mike Greaves did......he has 8 r—ded kids.
I am salaried in procurment I barely make more than $40K - what a life.
That’s helpful. Not every salary employee makes six figures and a lot make much less than the union employees. It’s a legit question from someone struggling like a lot of other people. Looking for experience on what others in the same boat have experienced. Check your negativity at the door.
Do not be a pig. People without 75% of Big 3 income more than you. File. I hope that GM puts your as on the street for good.
