Giving Marvin What He Wants

I feel like absolute death. A light fever shortness of breath. I cant afford to miss work, I have no sick time. So now I got to go to work because I don't feel I should have to jump through hoops to get emergency leave. I guess it's what he wanted so I apologize ahead of time if I get people sick.

No excuse for putting others at risk. I am not a Marv fanboy, but man if you are sick with a fever its no bueno to come to work. If they deny you, document everything. They will cave. You will get paid.

Honestly people are blaming corporate but that’s just sh–ty store managers. My wife works for a day care, they closed and sent all their staff to get tested when one of the teachers tested positive. I called my SM, she told me to stay home and called me back that same day saying the leave was approved. Thankfully my wife tested negative and I was able to go back work after waiting 4 days to get her confirmation. I get that some people would abuse it just to get the paid time off by honestly why take the chance. If I was a manager I would want anyone showing symptoms to stay as far away from the store as possible for my own well being, to hell the company

Amazing how many "high risk" people are returning to work and not wearing masks or gloves

It was very easy for me to receive 4 weeks of pay while staying home. I don't have covid-19. My Doctor wrote a letter saying that I was a high risk person and should not be in situations where social distancing is not possible.. All you have to do is get a note from your doctor and contact/notify your store manager. They have to give you the time off.

Call your doctor or use teladoc, tell them your symptoms, get a letter, email that sh– to your store manager and then fill out the emergency leave form and stay the f— home. You'll get your paycheck if you follow those steps.

Stay. The f—. Home.

A coworker is going through the same thing, and he was told he had to come back from leave at the end of it,whether he tested negative or not, work a day before his next leave could kick in. WTF? Thats second person has had to do that in my store.
