That has nothing to do with the GM's and Lou Scarpelli! Everyone has their role and at that level they execute the directive from above. You are misplacing the blame, especially with Lou; he's a great leader who cares for his people and did and is doing the best he can.
They are incompetent because of their inability to do their job which is build a strong company and to find solutions when challenges arise. You don’t need and executive team making millions to take the route of layoffs to solve the problem. My dumb a– could have pulled the trigger to fire 11,000 people as the solution. They needed to find a different solution!
