Thread regarding Hertz layoffs

Are lay-offs just happening in North America or is international affected as well? Any news from our colleagues in Europe and Australia?

Inspired 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😩 she’s TOXIC beyond belief promoting her mews house claiming she has celebrity status so far apart from claims she’s brought nothing.

Direction 0 Leadership 0 Strategy 0 also the way she insults Kathy openly is shameful.

NO ONE IS INSPIRED stop spreading fake news..

Consultants have never ever brought any benefit to Europe. Just walk away with millions.

You heard wrong. Nothing inspirational going on.

Celebrated St.Patrick's Day (Mar 17) while people in Italy/Spain were dying and countries were shutting down.

Gave us a cupcake in the morning and then told us "no bonus" in the afternoon on Employee Appreciation Day. We didn't make ebitda and mbo, but our personal part was cut, too.

Continues to listen to the mo–n that is head of revenue and not only is he as un-inspirational and clueless, but devious and toxic for the company future.

Instead of leading and telling, she keeps asking. Problem is that bar one, VPs around her have the cumulative experience and knowledge of an intern. She is failing to see that they are no help neither in the crisis nor in the aftermath and should terminate them while she can.

Most statements she makes are textbook management. Arrived boasting about turnaround achievements at IHG, but hasn't shown any turnaround qualities. Yet.

Maybe she can become inspirational, but she needs to step up. Now. Telling us how much she cares about us or that we can always call her doesn't cut it.

Consultants!!!!

Last time consultants were called in massive cuts followed but given the current situation on the travel sector and Hertz dependency on Airports people should expect changes, glad we have money for consultants though while paying furlough employees only 60%.

Ugly and what are consultants doing in Europe obviously something is going to happen if consultants are in the office, I liked working at Hertz but this thread is making me worried about what will now happen?

Inspired in Europe I’m not sure who wrote that but it’s absolutely a minority thinking, please leave examples of the inspirational moments or ideas so it could be shared with others particularly Furlough people who would like maybe just one communication.

Australian government subsidy has kicked in for employees so majority of staff can resume work but on restricted hours and mixed duties. Aus is nowhere near as bad as US. Sending some much needed love to you guys!

Large numbers furloughed in Europe but arrangements vary by country dependent on government programs. Angela is a breath of fresh air when compared with predecessors and working through the legacy of bureaucracy and duplication from the previous regime. Needs to slim down HQ operations further and lose the consultants to confirm credentials with colleagues on the front line.

International is run by an id–t who has no idea what to do, yip might be laws but do you remember her Oscar performance in Phoenix those who were lucky enough to go, it was like a bad movie so if nothing is happening it’s likely she’s still trying to figure out what company she even works for because she seemed confused then.

Looks like mostly US operations impacted. Europe and Asia may have different employee protections that will not allow you to kick a 30 year employee to the curb like yesterdays trash.
