Thread regarding Bed Bath & Beyond layoffs

More to come.

Bed bath sold One Kings Lane (undisclosed amount) to a third party.
250 leases are up for negotiation in 2020 and the CEO stated they are going to utilize this time to evaluate the store performance and footprints.
More layoffs in Corp possible
More tech upgrades to supply chain systems.
More increasing the cash in hand to be able to bounce back quickly.

It’s going to be a crazy year in store for bbb.

One Kong’s lane average mark up per item is huge compared to all other companies bed bath owns. They could do 1/3rd the business and still be profitable. That was a super dumb move.

I wonder how that will affect the new merchandising programs, the OKL brand was supposed to be prominently featured over the rest of the year.

Any word in Cost Plus? Don't know why they would even keep them. Sales apparently are not worthy.
