Thank you for your reply! I am so sorry for what everyone is dealing with. BGT is family to me.
RE: Former busch baby - No we are not getting any insurance. Every single bit of our benefits ended on 3-31 for all employees furloughed. 401k matching was also announced to be suspended even for those still working too.
The only thing those of us furloughed still have going is that if/when we come back, we will remain at our current seniority level when it comes to how long we had been with the company.
Wait, so I am not a current employee but was one for 20+ years, parks and corporate. So you guys are not getting insurance benefits during this furlough, is that what I am reading? I've spoken with friends who are furloughed and this sad fact has not come up yet. If I understand this thread correctly and the parks are not continuing to fund health insurance for full-time/regular and salaried, I am more disgusted than ever. So very sorry, you guys. Prayers.
Keep exposing , eventually if you keep on pushing , the dam is going to break,
Look at all the stock they dumped before the park closing announcement went out. They’re not hurting for cash.

The $12.5M insurance money went to pay for the stockholder law suit. That and we paid $20M+ in cash.
In the public eye the world will know. Lets hope they respond by not going to this park. It already is the most unattended of the big parks let the world keep it that way. Maybe the if that dictator Scott gets hit hard enough in his bank account he get out. If the general public keep his stock in the tank long enough he will go. We the employees of this company are are begging for a hostile take over. I mean we are being run like chucky cheese. Well guess what Scott this aint no restaurant and we are definitely not a hotel. Which neither on of those are doing great but guess what they are better than when he was there. Scott needs to go for this company to survive after all this settles down. The employees need to speak up you see how much you mean to the company hopefully the company means more to the people who have been there through it all. Save this great company from failure.
What did Seaworld do with the 12.5 million from the insurance claim they had?

Why not use some of it to pay back that construction company who has liens against Seaworld first. Or better yet pay the insurance premiums for your employees who aren’t working now. No wonder the company’s credit rating is sh–, do they think everyone else on the planet is stupid? Or do they collectively not give a sh–?
Does giving any of these individuals a million bucks to hang around for another two years make sense in any situation? Where are they going to go? You most likely don’t even need to pay them extra for doing these interim jobs because they’re probably used to it at this point due to the high CEO turnover rate.
Not all of us have a golden parachute apparently.
Any of us willing to work moving forward is more of a spit in our faces at this point. FurloughIng and make our peers suffer while they get raises for running this corporation into the ground.
