I'm scared of having been infected and infecting my family. Considering how many people I serve daily and how few safety measures we have, I'd be shocked if that doesn't happen. So now I'm considering not having contact with my family except for the necessary minimum to protect them. I'm just not sure if and how that would even work. Anybody here doing it?

I have been self-isolating at home and have been paid by Lowes for almost 4 weeks. I am going to extend my self-quarantine and use unpaid medical leave. I haven't been approved, but have a Doctor's note saying it is necessary. I may not return. While I appreciate the 4 weeks of pay, I think Lowes has been extremely irresponsible. They are not enforcing distancing, they encourage throngs of people to pack the store by having sales on non-essentials. The garden center (where I work) is packed with mo–ns risking their lives for bags of mulch! Good grief. Lowes is a giant petri dish.
I'm using as much paid and unpaid time off as they'll let me take right now. Can't use extra money from pay raises and bonuses if you're dead.
If our risk was low because business was slow and customers were smart that would be one thing but we serve some of the finest id–ts the country has to offer, so the hell with that.
What do you think that dry cough is going around all the stores.
You should have been doing this for weeks.
