After almost 31 years with the company, I was advised to celebrate my retirement through this covid 19 virtually. They made concessions for many things but will not give the retirement party funds to the retirees. They said virtual and good luck. What a way to send off a dedicated employee!!!!

What a whiner. Unbelievable. We have a global pandemic and SF kept all jobs and you complain about this? You can’t have a party anyhow with shelter in place!
This sounds fake, written by anonymous to trash someone by throwing out a very specific number.
If I could retire now, I would be gone so fast you have no idea. No party? No problem. It's not always hugs and flowers on the way out anyway.
You can have the party at home with your family.
Whiner!
Make a party of your own! If you worked there 31 years, you a– can afford a retirement party. D–ba–.
JFC, what a jag you are, you will spend the next 35 years receiving a pension check from a fully funded pension and you’re worried about a little freaking retirement party? You’ll probably be on here in December complaining that the select a gift has been discontinued when you were really looking forward to that nice set of matching steak knives. What a loser.
You made it out alive. Be proud of that!
Didn’t get the $15 sheet cake from WalMart?Truly a tragedy. Hope you can enjoy retirement anyway.
If this is what you have to complain about consider yourself lucky...try b#^*ing about this to your neighbors or friends who lost their jobs. I am absolutely appalled at your arrogance about a party during a world changing event.
If the party means that much to you why don’t you wait until the office reopens and have it then?
Disgrace is this company.
