Why do they work 11 hr days instead of 9? Who makes a SM and ASM's Schedule? Just curious.

Work????? I never seen a ASM do a thing. Point a finger to get a button while they walk right by it, hiding in the back office, walking around playing with his fellow ASM's, talking c-ap about other employees, so helpless and sissy can't lift a finger to help or do anything. And they are salaried and get paid a ton if they are there or not. The most worthless and overpaid job in the store.
I really take issue with the question. Specifically the word “work” needs to be “are present in the building”, or perhaps “sitting in a chair”, or maybe “hiding out in the cash office.” All are much more applicable than “work.”
I used to work in the back , and saw one of the ASM bonus checks. They make more on their bonus's than the best paid hourly employee makes in a year
Good sm's trust their teams enough to scale back when needed. Most sm's work less than 50. Asms who work less than 50 are able to do it until the boss decides to use it against them. When I was a head cashierr the best ASM we had got wrote up for leaving early one day . Sad thing is she decided it was BS and bailed and now the front end is ran by an id–t.
Salaried managers have a corporate guideline rotation that can be adjusted regionally or by the market team/ SM as needed.
Many retailers do not make their salaried managers work 50 hour weeks. When I was with Lowes we did closer to 60 hours or more. Lowes treats all its employees like sh–, managers included.
Our new store manager works 6 to 4 Monday through Friday. Must be rank has privilege. Previous store manager worked 11 hour days and all our current ASM’s work 11 hours. I might be mistaken but I think salaried management is on some sort of rotation.
That's the price they pay for being in a salaried position.
