Did anyone else get a call from Hertz saying Hertz made a decision today which was supposed to come down last week?

Yes I received call from my director saying as of 2day (4.14.2020)you have been lay-off. Now I have been proud to be with Hertz 35 years and this is what I get. A phone call🤬
It’s true if u still Furloughed most likely u will be lay-off

Just received a call from the GM (Greenville Spartanburg, SC Airport) saying Hertz decided to do a lay off and effective today I am no longer on furlough but have been laid off (no letter). For further information about the lay off I was instructed to search my email that I should be receiving. There is a lot going on with the crisis of the virus but just wondering if it would be caring or not caring to inform employees of a status from furlough to lay off in writing or with a phone call. How was other employees informed of the lay off?
They finalized and fired me and I’m getting severance pay out
