I'm just wondering, because with so many oversights, intentional disregard for employees' and customers' health, and failures of safety protocols (the deep cleaning is laughable at my store,) I believe people have more than a solid basis to actually file a lawsuit - individually or class action.

Our store has scheduled a crew to come just for the cleaning since we are allowed to pick up more hours right now. Maybe something to suggest to management team if their region is allowing it. As far as the lawsuit goes, I’m sure some one will. I stepped down from management couple years ago but In the time that I was in it I received 3-4 class action notifications for various things that were never really an issue for me personally.
We have people (customers) recording the checkout lines on their phones & the crowds in the store. Not so hard to identify time, date, location, department, individuals, employees, state of the people, the store and the incredible lack of social distancing.- stickers on the floor don’t work, neither does wiping down carts after close. They should be wiped down more. Also, what’s with acting like this is just about employees complaining and not helping clean?
Lowe’s gets sued by people everyday just like every large company in America. They have 70+ lawyers and countless other law firms on retainer. Bottom line it will just be a normal day if they do get sued. Welcome to America.
Wouldn’t win, would be difficult to prove Lowe’s is the exact place that caused anyone to get sick. Maybe instead of complaining about the lack of cleaning you should take the time to help clean.
- there are always attorneys on both sides. I was talking with a neighbor that’s an attorney. This isn’t the type of case he’d handle. But he said with today’s tech and a couple witnesses you may be able to prove you just drove to work and home. It all depends on the judge and jury.
If so start collecting evidence now. Keep copious notes, not only who said what but who was there as back up witnesses.
