Thread regarding Avaya layoffs

Avaya laid off several tenured employees today - 4/9

Several long-term, high quality, employees were fired/removed from Avaya today. The company has made positive strides, internally and externally, through the current crisis. There is a TON of work to be done, and they are firing highly productive employees in the middle of a Global Pandemic, and the worst economic crisis in living memory. When they didn't have to. All of those people could have remained gainfully employed and continued to provide value. Sad day for Avaya, and sad day for the employees impacted. Just heartless.
