Thread regarding Lowe's Cos. layoffs

Paying for our silence

Dont try to lean on tiny bonuses or mini-bumps in pay or a day off that literally every other business is giving their employees, to silence us, to buy us off. You know what you did to us, especially this weekend. The customers saw it, we saw it happening to each other, how many news outlets nationwide saw it. You destroyed us and you’re still dishing it out. You better come up with a plan to truly reward us for what you did to us this weekend, or you will know what it’s like to feel retaliation like we have to every single day.

The largest portion of your business is frontline workers. You need to stand up and have some f—ing respect and truly show us the thanks that we so sorely deserve. Irresponsible self-righteous tone-deaf a–holes.

Does anyone have clarification on the extra $2 an hour? We are scheduled 45 hour weeks, will the $2 turn into $3 for overtime hours worked?

Local PD made us take down all Black Lung Friday signage. Flyers still went out and customers still came in. The initial post could have been written by me because I have often described corporate's actions as tone-deaf and callous. Profits above all else!

Sounds like your egos been fed a steady diet of sour grapes for too long my friend. You need some yeast to clarify things - in vino veritas after all.

Hopefully one day you wake up to what a sh– sandwich we've all been made to hold.

I’m blessed to have a job. If I live maybe one day my 401k will get back to normal. I know everyone is scared and stressed. We haven’t seen anything like this in our lifetimes. It’s a catch 22 situation that the “essential” retailers are having to struggle with daily. Do I think Lowe’s Corp should have been more pro-active? Yes. Could they do more? Yes. Do I want to be laid off? Hell no!

Last I checked Lowe's has more than one exit. Choose one and guess what, you don't have to come back. You can join the rest of the world scared about losing their house, car and whatever else. Yes it's scary out there, but instead of complaining about everything be thankful u have a job. Your negativity is contagious and you yes you are probably making a bad situation worse at your store.

Worst case scenario is not helpful. Grocery stores are open.

miles long lines trying to get to the local food pantries. numerous experts saying 1 in 3 mortgages are at risk of default......nearly half of all small businesses saying they will close permanently.....thousands of complaints that unemployment claims filed 3 weeks ago or more have still yet to receive their first check....unemployment rates higher than the great depression..........do any of you look at the real data on the virus...do any of you know how the immune system even works??

eventually youll all be complaining in the bread lines.
