The speaker mentions the need for more women in leadership roles. The worst manager our store ever had was a woman. She had her favorites and if you went her favorite then she ignored you; which may of been a good thing. Kids were promoted into leadership roles who had no idea what they were doing; we still have a few left.
This is otherwise known as The Peter Principle. The more incompetent you are, the further you go up the corporate ladder. You surround yourself with more incompetent people than you. And Marv did not get the top spot at HD? Hmmm!
Nailed it. Except I wouldn’t call any of our leader ship “charismatic”. I mean you have a wet dish towel of a racist in McFarland, and Marvin who? Does the man even exist? Never seems to appear in any stores anywhere to confirm his existence.
