so I been at home for three weeks pretty much doing computer work as most of my customers are shut down. Some may never reopen and when they do, will anyone support them? I feel that PepsiCo may have no choice but to layoff and do some early retirement packages due to the effects of this pandemic. Things won't be the same for quite some time. You thoughts?

Coke had layoffs yesterday.
Pepsi continues to flood media with concern and compassion media that they use to try and paint themselves as an image of Mother Teresa. They should put their money where their mouth is and offer to pay medical premiums for seniors they let go who were unable to gain employment. The place is run by a bunch of hypocritical clowns.
Agreed. As much as I would have loved to get a buyout package I have never seen one in my 20+ years at PepsiCo. When I was reorganized I received the standard 2 weeks for every year but I am hearing that may be reduced in the future. I am hoping I am wrong. Good luck to all and praying for you all to keep your jobs but above all that you all are safe from this hidden enemy.
Don’t hold your breath. The way this company has treated older and long term employees for the past couple of years is disgraceful. They have left them exposed through this pandemic.
I hope they offer buyouts to older long term employees. Then they can spin it that they are looking out for them.
As usual Pepsi will take care of the good ole girls and boys and hang the rest of us slaves out to dry.
My manager calls me every day to check in and it’s awful. I feel like since she isn’t doing anything she knows I’m not doing anything. We keep talking about the same 2 things and it’s horrible. I wish they would just put me out of my misery and severance me out of here for an early retirement
In order for companies to weather the storm, they are left with no choice but to bundle up and lighten the load on the balance sheets.
Let's take a look at China... It has been over three months and things are just starting to get back to normal. The biggest difference is that they have the ability to lock people out of there homes and force them in a hospital. They were tracking individuals and keeping a tab on their population.
Do you think that will happen here? If not... We really don't have a point of reference as to how long this will last and how many businesses will be affected.
Travel and leisure, Retail and Discretionary will be forced to layoff , as we are seeing. We just haven't seen the dominoes strike the other areas yet...
