We have call ins daily, more and more people are coming into the Store because they have cabin fever and want to walk around. We have whole families touring the Store's. Parents walking the grill aisle, their kids in tow with their heads focused on cell phones. We have do not sit signs posted so people do not congregate at the patio furniture. Just sitting there. This isn't summer vacation people.
We had a family come over the past weekend and spent nearly an hour in flooring just "getting ideas". The husband and wife openly stated they were just bored at home.
The weather got nice Sunday and we had to begin limiting customers. People are starting to be rude, one of the garden center associate's got cursed out because there weren't enough associate's working to handle the amount of customers. Then went on to state the X's and signs on the floor were stupid.
The people who are working ARE people too. We have families. And are working to put food on our tables and pay bills. We are trying NOT to get SICK. Then corporate decides to hold Spring Black Friday in full knowledge of the ongoing covid-19 situation.
Look on the faces of the employees, more and more of us are tired , worn out and exhausted from all of this. Morale is low already. Corporate WONT allow us to limit the amount of customers at one time. Something is going to happen

Lowe’s published the following information Thursday regarding protecting its employees:
“We are making masks and gloves available to all associates in the workplace who want them, and as previously shared, all N95 masks were placed on a stop-sale and being donated to hospitals to protect frontline healthcare workers.”
The store also highlighted it has added “dedicated social distancing ambassadors” who will be responsible for “monitoring customer flow in our garden centers and front-end areas and enforce customer limits to allow proper social distancing.”
My store HAS NO MASKS nor do we have “dedicated social distancing ambassadors” it's just managers sitting outside doing nothing but counting people on an app on their smart phone. To have a manager, who has the keys to the kingdom (overrides and propane cages) it is ridiculous to have them sitting; assign that role to your newest cashiers who can't keep up.
More lies from Lowe's, as long as it sounds good that's all they care about. Profits over people!
