SUBJECT: Important update for our team members

I hope you and your family members are staying healthy during this unprecedented time for us all. As our nation faces a challenge unlike any we have ever seen before, we want to share some important updates.

As part of our efforts to ensure we remain healthy and vibrant for the future, we most ask everyone to join us in making sacrifices during this incredibly difficult time:

We are asking all salaried Outfitters to take a temporary reduction in salary, effective April 5. Our senior leadership team is reducing their salary by 20 percent, and reductions for the rest of our team will vary by salary ranging from 7 to 15 percent. The reduction will be based off the latest merit increase which took effect March 6, and may be partially offset by additional direct payments to you from the federal government. If you're a salaried team member, you can log onto Workday later today to determine how this impacts you. We are also temporarily freezing hourly merit increases at this time.

We are also suspending the company's voluntary 401K matching contribution until further notice. Outfitters can still contribute to their 401K plan, though we cannot commit to a match until the nation's financial condition stabilizes.

We hope the actions we have taken this week help us weather this storm and return to happier days. While we intend for these measures to be temporary, we will evaluate the duration based on the impact of the coronavirus and resulting government actions, and continue to keep you informed.

We know the impact to you and your family is enormous, and we have strived to be as fair and considerate as possible in our actions. We are actively following state and local legislation daily to ensure we are helping you take advantage of any and all programs available to each of you.

Interesting things keep happening in a already crazy company. So we were given the option to self quarantine. Now we are being furloughed and was told hopefully we will be able to call you back within 90 days. For all the people who decided self quarantine was best for ourselves and family. Funny thing is finding out now that only the people who self quarantined have been furloughed. What a slap in the face to those of us who took the care and stayed home. I’m sure most of us will never receive that call from them. I’m sure this will follow this company in the weeks and months to come. It’s only a matter of time before law suits start getting filed.

You are obviously doing only what you are FORCED to do. This "family" company has been a scam and now people are seeing it. Other big companies have done far better. Home Depot for one.

How many merchants, HR, AP, training and diversity people do you need at this point? The guy that created and sent the memo probably hasn’t been in a store in months or years. We have lost sight of what is important! Very concerned for future.

How many Directors, Senior Managers, Senior Directors, Managers at Basecamp the company has now. Why not lay them off and take their 6 figure pay + and give it to the real workers at the stores who are struggling? Lets be honest when this is all over, we need workers at the store level to generate that revenue again. Not some person that has never been to a store and worked, sitting up in a office thinking of ideas to generate money for the company.

So pretty much saying since your going to get a stimulus check that will help make up the difference. WTF?

I have worked for many large and small companies over 39 years and I am positive that Gary Ehlers, Jason Jackson, and several new “Leaders” are driving the Bass Pro brand in the ground with Mr. Morris fully aware. They have been letting go GREAT people to make room for their friends tjst are less qualified. If you still have a job, then run away and find another, because the ship is going DOWN!!

Chicken sh–! Nothing but poor leadership all the way around. The beginning to the end.

For those salary managers still running stores this hurts. They are underpaid to start with. They are still working their 50 hour work weeks during this virus trying to keep their outfitters safe and healthy in the stores. Trying to make sure those relying on them are taken care of... this is such a betrayal on top of recent layoffs with more responsibility already piled on. So disappointed in this company's behavior, a company I used to love and trust.

Company will not be own by the Morris family within a year.

I think these execs will be able to get by. When you're making $200K a year or more, there's room to cut back.

I just can’t. Johnny Morris and his greed !! Better get used to parting with that money because one employee get sick and you got a law suit for negligence and working in unsafe unsanitary conditions.
