Unemployment help

I filed for unemployment Benefits this morning using the date as March 28 last worked as I did not know we were getting another 12 hours for this week. Does anyone know if there is a way to correct this. I tried calling the labor department, but cannot get the call to go through. Any help is welcome. Thank you.

Not sure if all states are the same but in PA when you file your claim it asks if you worked and earned pay for the week you are claiming. You should be able to report the 12 hours and they will deduct that from your unemployment compensation.

I did the same. Will wait to see how this is handled. My last day was March 14 but used the 28 for unemployment purposes because I got close to full pay with disaster pay and PTO. I am 40 hour employee so 12 hours for this week should not be a huge impact.

If the question was “what was the last day worked” then it would be your last day physically worked. Any severance or additional pay would possibly be accounted for in another manner

I hear you, I've done the same thing. I will wait and see, I feel that this will go through and we can adjust later. Post here if you hear different, but that's going to be my approach. Click follow button on this thread so you can see if I update the thread.

Good luck.
