Thread regarding Bed Bath & Beyond layoffs

Government is spoiling all of you

Half of you don’t deserve the extra money from unemployment. You go to work and hide from customers and talk c-ap about the company that pays you to survive in life. You had your chance to get another job! Before all this c-ap happened and the job market was great!! But you blew it. Don’t worry you will milk as much unemployment as possible return back to your c-appy job when it’s done cause you didn’t find a new job. You can go back to hiding from customers and hating on your employer.

That's a little rude to hope for the downfall of a company that employees 65,000 people. I get that you had a bad experience and left but don't wish harm to the associates that need this job for income. Just don't shop there dang. Super hope your m-f job goes under with us! Stay safe and kind out here y'all.

I honestly hope this company doesn't survive in the end. It truly treats its employees horrible. I did 10 years in management and decided to walk out without a job lined up because I couldn't stand it. I don't regret my decision, if you don't like where you're at make a change. I now have a M-F 9-5 job getting paid more.

How are they bitter if they are telling the truth? It's insane that you can make more than you normally make just to sit at home and complain about not having to work for 4 weeks, must be rough. Atleast you can take a break from complaining about how no one should have to work right now covid panic.

You really shouldn’t judge coworkers at BB&B. The associates and teams in the stores are the only reason this company has had the success that it’s had over the past 40 years. I am sure that I am not the only “part time” associate that works 40 hours a week and has not been able to go to work for the past 2 weeks. We (the full time “part timers”) have only been paid 50% of our usual pay. So the $600 will help to catch back up on bills again and maybe even feed our families during this time. Not to mention, if people stop buying goods because of loss of pay, then more people will be laid off and stop buying goods. That would cause an irreversible downward spiral for the entire economy. (Which is why the government is supplementing unemployment for now.)
