Playing hardball with new ownership will not end well for the plant. With DFA having significantly more plants soon it will be easier and more profitable for them to shut a problem plant down and move production to another nearby plant. I would expect that they are planning to shut a certain percentage of these newly acquired plants down within a few years, moving the best equipment to the remaining plants and selling the properties off.
Cry me a River
Trump filed for bankruptcy 4-5 times to flush out the banks and obligations he owed. This is the American way!
Do new hires in the plant or drivers still get generous pension and healthcare benefits?
Reality Check take it or find new employment. Sure DFA wont have a problem shutting down some plants and moving work around.
Anybody that comes on here and has nothing but negative things to say just believe the opposite that person has been wrong with everything they have stated on this site
It's time to play hardball with DFA not the time to roll over they should be Glad to have us not trying to screw us. If they don't want to buy us as is then don't. Let the government step in and take over. Dairy's need us more then ever. If you have any Guts at all stand up and fight for your self. I know were i work we have over 200 of us and we will be a big fat no on giving up are pension and health care.
Companies are founded to make money but not f— it's employees you don't buy a company and turn around before you even start f— the ones who work for you. Are health care is 7dollars and 50cent per hr are pension is 5dollars and 10cent per hr that is a cost of 12dollars and 60cents per hr now we would have to fund are own retirement 401k and pay for are sh–ty company health insurance so we pay$100 a week for are health care a $100 a week for a 401k so we can retire one day if we are lucky. So that is a cost of $10400 per year plus they save $12.60 per hr for no more pension and union heath care which is a saving to the company another 25k a year .that a 35k a year pay cut for us at are plant. So you would have to be a total f—ing mo–n to vote anything but No a few of you guy's sound like you have spent to much time s—ing the company's D–k.
Reality check: Companies are founded to make money
Don't blam the unions for deans down fall DFA is just another Big greedy company company that Don't care about those who work for them. It's a very bad look to buy a company and force it's employees to take major cuts.
An employees value is determined by their production and how much profit they can generate for a company not by how much the WANT to get paid and how early they want to retire. DFA will have to renegotiate union contracts or they will follow DF to BK.
